 | As the season turns, LouLou are reflecting on a busy Summer. From hot days and even hotter shoots to plenty of outdoor scouting, the warmer months delivered a fantastic run of Campaigns, busy locations and brilliant teams. LouLou quickly discovered that the essential Summer shoot kit goes well beyond the call sheet – cool boxes on wheels, Ezy up tents for much needed shade, ice cold water on tap, and a healthy supply of Umbrellas all played their part in keeping everyone cool, comfortable and camera ready! UBER STILLS SHOOT: LouLou were delighted to team up with Mother Made on a location-led stills shoot for Uber, shot by the hugely talented Christopher Anderson. The brief was a brilliant location treasure hunt — from striking Brutalist architecture and authentic Dojos to the hunt for those elusive, generic European streets. With six locations across four days, there was plenty to keep us on our toes! LouLou worked closely with the Mother Made team to keep the wheels turning, orchestrating fast unit moves and making sure each location transition was as seamless as possible. McDONALDS:
This McDonalds Filet-O-Fish campaign was very much tongue in cheek – a fun take on ‘fishing weekly’, this shoot came with a fantastic location based around the lake in Trent Park. Finding some shade was a key part of the brief as temperatures soared to 35 degrees – the crew & talent were professional as always, managing to create these amusing images in a tough situation. Shot brilliantly by Alex Bingham and produced by Farah Ikhlas at Publicis Production, for Leo.
McCAFE:
Another hot one! With an urban street vibe and a brief calling for a mix of colourful backgrounds, the location scouting came together nicely to create the perfect backdrop for the shoot. And with temperatures soaring, the day ended on a high — an ice cream van arrived to keep the cast and crew cool, supplying some very welcome ice creams and lollies!
IN OTHER NEWS:
LouLou has been busy finding the right locations for a stills shoot for Lloyds, shot over the summer. More recently, our location-finding skills were put to the test on a TV shoot for Kellogg’s, where we sourced the perfect locations to bring the creative to life — resulting in another successful shoot.
We’ve also continued our collaboration with Publicis Productions on projects for BHF, keeping the Summer busy with a great mix of work.
All in all, it’s been a successful few months, and our location library continues to grow, with plenty of new and exciting locations being added.
